WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE OVERNIGHT BREAKFAST?

Apple Spice. I always add chopped walnuts with strawberries and blueberries and it’s so good.

WE HEAR YOU HAVE A PRETTY AWESOME BACKGROUND...

I am a GTM (Go-to-market) Associate at HOKA ONE ONE, which I love because I get to collaborate and create all day with an amazing team. I also run for the country of Panama, where I travel and compete all over the world and it’s such a fun balance. My main event is the 3,000m steeplechase, but I run everything from a 4:38 mile to a 2:49 marathon. I also competed at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China in 2015.

YOU JUST MOVED TO NYC, HOW'S THE RUNNING SCENE THERE?

There is no running community that compares to NYC. The comradery, the number of races, the competition, the amount of run crews... I mean the list is endless. What keeps me involved is my club team, who I train with every day, and all of my friends I have are through sport so it’s my way of staying connected. There are always races people are gearing up for and local races that allow runners to engage with other local clubs, and it’s sort of fun getting the community together doing something we are all passionate about. It’s definitely a unique experience to live and run in this city.

If you could do anything (money did not matter) what would it be?

I would love to be a professional traveler and live in different countries for long periods of time to experience different cultures. There is so much to learn through exploration. I would then like to use my free time to really give back - to help those less fortunate find a deeper meaning in life and provide opportunities to them.
